Event has been cancelled due to unsafe ice conditions.
We had over a foot of ice just days ago, and now, the warmer temps and rain have killed the ice. It is no longer safe for us to host the event and we are forced to cancel. The forecast Weds and Thurs of this week includes more rain and 49 degrees on Thursday, which will only make the conditions worse. If you are registered as a volunteer or player, please be sure to check your email. We have posted videos and photos on our Facebook page (Michigan Pond Hockey Classic) so you can see the conditions for yourself. We were just days away from the promise of a great event - deposits paid, equipment rented and delivered, player swag was designed, ordered and delivered. We will be holding onto everything and will be using it next year - and hopefully, the weather will be more cooperative!!
Registration Extended to Friday Feb 1st, 2019
There are still spots available for teams, so please make sure you get your teams registered by Friday, Feb 1st, 2019. There will not be any additional extensions at that time.
Cast Iron Cornbread returns as the House Band for the 2019 MPHC!
They're back! The band we have come to know and love is returning to the MPHC and will play Friday and Saturday nights in the main entertainment tent! Come on out and show them some love!
Tournament Team Registration and Volunteer Registration are NOW OPEN for the 2019 MPHC!
We are using new software this year for our website and registration processes, so things will look a bit different. We are using this platform to manage things, but also to send our communications - instead of Constant Contact (which many of you have blocked).
You will be required to create an account, and with the new account, you will be opting in to receive communications from us about the tournament. We will not spam you with a ton of emails, but we DO need to be able to communicate with you to ensure the best event. You can also opt in to receive text messages, which will be notifications during the weekend of the tournament with important event information.
We ask that you please bear with us as we adjust to this new website and the new functionality it offers. Should you have any trouble whatsoever, please email email@example.com and we'll get you fixed.
